Forum: Inkscape 0.48 extensions question

I downloaded the portable version of 0.48 from PortableApps.  I can't 
seem to get the render functions to work in the extensions menu.  I 
tried rendering a gear, the sphere, and a barcode.  Nothing happens.  
The extension appears to work, but when it is done, there is nothing on 
the page.  I do not get any error messages, but could I be missing a 
library or something?
