Ruby Forum NGINX > nginx child hangs with dns server failure

I've been getting fairly regular failures with nginx, where it uses
99% cpu usage. Accompanied by the hanging client is a message from
cpanel "named failed, was restarted automatically".

I'm proxying connections from nginx to apache, which then sends back a
header that tells nginx to proxy a file from a remote server. Using
0.71.
